I love Terry Pratchett, particularly his "Watch" series. Which, incidentally, is what I've been reading for the past few months. To take my mind of things. Yes. Sam Vimes is probably my favorite fictional character (or at least he's right up there with Fitz, the Fool and Sirius Black).
