In the last week I've read 3 books. Yes, I've had way more free time on my hands than I should. That, and I'm trying to make the most of my $50-a-year membership at the Monash University library (incidentally, I am a Monash alumni, and I think that the whole idea of charging alumni money to continue using the library is fucked up and no mistake).
First I read:
Still Life with Woodpecker by Tom RobbinsDelicious! A real treat.
Then I read:
Screwtape Letters by S.C. Lewis
I got more of an intellectual work out than I anticipated (or wanted) from this book. It has also convinced me that I'm a cunt.
Lastly, I read:
A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess
Fascinating - in the same way a burning house is fascinating.
And now I'm reading:
Nausea by Jean-Paul Sartre
